Description

A quick figure study – ran out of time to refine it further, but I liked the textures. DS3/Lux render of Vanilla Sky skin on V4 with Goldilox hair. Component renders warped in over the photo reference. Anatomical fixes patched in and the whole lot overpainted with transparent layers of colour using Keepwaiting skin brushes. There were 18 patches (yes, I kept count this time), mostly to the edges. Working size 4,800px high – discovered that the brushes don't scale down well so gotta upscale the base render. Render in Lux was distinctly easier to use as a basis than the Poser Firefly renders, which I used before. DS3 is better, too; the last DS I used was 1.5, so a bit of difference; can't use DS4 with Lux yet. B/g in Vue, with Realsand and a Kleb sky. Nice to see Daz are replacing V4 with Genesis. No doubt in direct response to my grumbles about joint articulation (like they're listening!). Genesis looks like it'll be better and no doubt all you product developers are hard at it producing characters, although it still doesn't seem to respond to it's surroundings so I'll still be painting squishy bits for a while. Better than realistic, artistic! Finally you have reached the niveau of the old masters and even surpassed them. Now you don't have to do anything more in your life but settle down and teach into old age. i e according to ancient Chinese custom when young you are supposed to learn, when middle aged you do and when old you teach. I will be mailing you for questions!
