Description

It is less than half an inch or one centimeter from wing tip to wing tip. Took the shot this morning in the bathroom. There was not too much light so I used flash... and so i cannot go as close as I wanted. Not totally clear, but I thought it was wordh posting anyway. FULL size for more details of the feather wings. Have a beautiful day. It is cool today and a little windy with clouds here and there. Not a drop of rain though. I rains many places in dk. Has done that all week... not here. Thank you for viewing and commenting to my prev post :-)

Wow!! When I saw the tiny thumbnail, I thought perhaps its wings were ragged. But they really do look like feathers! Amazing moth and great shot!

Excellent capture of this beautiful moth, there are many species of moth and in many cases equally as beautiful as the butterfly. I believe the most common way to know if you are dealing with a moth or butterfly is that moths don't close their wings upright. If you want to see lots of moths go outside in the garden or other such location with two sticks and a white sheet and a powerful light behind it and you will attract them... moths are always attracted to light... hence the old saying "Attracted Like a moth to a flame". Well done with this shot.
