This is my first truly successful render that shows off Poser Pro 2012's new Subsurface Scattering feature. This render uses SSS and IDL on V4 using a custom shader by the node master, BagginsBill, on the default skin. The results of his shader are far better than the automated SSS Wacro built into PP2012. I've never been overly concerned with achieving realism, though I've learned that the better the texture, the better the render, regardless of the type of results you're after. But I think I may be doing a lot more portrait-style renders now! *Please note:* I checked the nudity tag on this because there is a peak of nipples through the tattered dress, even though you have to look hard to notice it.
