We're quickly approaching the time of year when the trees will be bare, and the skies will be gray. Time for one last look at the fall colors - from about 200 feet..
I took the Mavic out, and gave her a little exercise to capture a bit of fall color. The colors are a little more vibrant than last year (I didn't realize it until now, but it was exactly a year ago I did the same thing!). Anyway, this is a 360-degree look at the surrounding area earlier this afternoon.
Thanks so much for all the awesome comments on my 10-year poster! You all rock!!

the colors are later this year too, at least around here...we're getting, now, what would normally happen 10 days ago...but I digress...a big sweeping beauty of a shot, with amazing clarity. Those reds are rust reds, they're gorgeous (I wish we had more of those here). It's great, in your panoramas, to see the vastness of the land, and KC back in the distance as little toys growing out of the horizon, and---in this shot---the sun on both sides, casting that strange silver metallic glow on everything (the shadows are harsher, and the colors more coppery). A gorgeous panorama, you're so freaking good at these. It's too bad these colors only last a few weeks. Too bad you can't bribe them to stick round 'till february. I hope people zoomed all the way), for a sweeping panorama, it has quite an intimate presence.
