I was raised a Cristian but I can totally imagine the majesty of this place through your photos. A wonderful shot of what I'm sure is an incredibly uplifting experience. I don't know much about the Muslim faith but I have been reading about the Kaaba Stone and when pilgrims circle it as part of the ritual of the Hajj, many of them try, if possible, to stop and kiss the Black Stone, emulating the kiss that it received from the Islamic prophet Muhammad. If they can't reach it, they are to point to it on each of their seven circuits around the Kaaba. I think I read the stone was damaged in the middle ages. The pieces are held together by a silver frame, which is fastened by silver nails to the Stone. Thanks mate for posting your photo of this grand place.
