Description

The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is a 4th generation fighter. At one time it held the time-to- climb record from ground level to 30,000-ft in 29 seconds, beating the record held by the Russian Mig-25. It is an air superiority fighter and still one of the fastest aircraft around. The D model has a top speed given at 1,875 MPH. But it doesn't have the stealth technology of the 5th generation aircraft and it looks dated. This aircraft is from Mountain Home AFB, Idaho and several have been here at Luke for night exercises with the F-16 Falcon and F-35 Lightning II at the Barry M.
