Description

Our gals have been in Fallon two months, bored to death but working away. They have constructed a ten yard siding, with dual side tracks feeding it. They have started construction on the route north but haven't gotten out of site of the yard. Their main effort has been to build toward Pilot's Point and the GHS hookup. The GHS is building north from there and they will meet somewhere in the middle. The citizens of Fallon have welcomed the new industry with open arms, due to the promise of new jobs and businesses. The first is a motel, then cross tie factory and lumber yard. New homes and streets are being constructed and the population has increased from 400 to 500 with railroad workers living there.
