Description

...the valley so low... Just a gnarly old Sycamore tree in the Verde Valley where Beaver Creek runs through the Montezuma Castle National Monument. (Central Arizona near Rimrock, the home of some friends we stayed with on our last visit to "The Grand Canyon State".)

It looks like that tree has experienced some trauma in the past, yet it continues on! Nice shot!

That tree is designed for climbing. The whole lovely summer scene sends me back into my slightly feral childhood. Marvellous.

I just love the light in this shot. That beautiful sycamore bark lends itself well to light and shadow contrasts. Gorgeous!

What a wonderful and warm summer like shot. The light is so lovely. So nice to see on a grey and dark day like this. :) Sitting here with my daylight lamp.

Could swear that's from a song. Stellar clarity, lighting, textures and composition in this foto of one of my favorite subject matter, Bill. I notice you used your old Olympus E-30 in this endeavor.
