You have achieved, with just a few well placed lines, the epitome of lonely dog behavior, in this Louvre-worthy image, Mark. Love the choice of an overall bluish effect to further emphasize its melancholy.

For some reason your title and drawing made me think of Chester Arthur Burnett, also known as Howlin' Wolf. He was an early and very authentic blues singer. I haven't thought about him for years but have been listening to his songs on YouTube for the last hour. This is another one of your drawings that should be animated. I can just see this little doggie howling at the moon, his open mouth quivering with effort.
