Cool work. I think the one with the helm is better as the dino has the feel of a pet so its expression obtains a more humanistic interpretation and the helm takes away the obvious human contact a face has and adds interest. The one without the helm does not seem to have as sharp of focus either.

Very nice work! I like the one with the helmet better, since it makes him look a little more hard-core. But the dino doesn't look all that threatening. I can imagine the beast saying: "Hey, buddy, got a smoke?"

Your lighting is always spot on .. they do look like partners to me, too. I think I like the helmeted hunter, but both are equally fantastic!

I think I like the helmeted character better. With the helmet it looks more like he is hunting. Without the helmet it looks like they could be buddies. Both are spectacularly done!
