Description

Hi all :) About a year ago I did an image called Deja Vu Gallery, in Bryce. It was actually my second attempt at making a strange gallery in Bryce and it turned out well. :) Thanks for the comments on it and sorry about the barf. This one was done in Vue 8.5i, and unfortunately I had to re-make all of the models again for it because of a hard drive crash last year. So, all the models in this image are freshly made in Rhino (saved to online drive this time too) :D. Then textured and rendered in Vue, since I have almost abandoned Bryce..except for maybe the challenges :) There are actually only 4 lights in this up by the chandelier, yes I know, I could have taken the time to make each of the 12 lamps look lit, but bleh..lol..I was getting queezy :P. Some of the textures are from CGTextures and manipulated in CS3, some are my own layered multitextures created within Vue. The "art" in this gallery is of failed renders. The ones that never made it to Renderosity or anyone elses eyes except my own. You might recognize a few of them, but they are not the final images that were posted. From left to right, there is my failed starfury render (ambiance was too high and image was wrong render size), My recent "Turn Back" (before I decided to add the orc), "Aiko's Land of the Lost" (her gun is not all the way in her hand and I switched out the dinosaurs from a tarydactyl to the ones in the final image), Some guy..lol...:P..., "Tiny Cove" (Before that one became corrupted and I had to re-doo it completely, so re-did the terrain, etc), "Windoze" (never published, but it's my wallpaper), and "The Camper" my rendition of Emil-Arts "60 Minutes For Neiwil" Never published. :) So there ya have it, no barfing please :) lol. Thanks for looking :) and if you would like to see the one from last year, go here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/full.php?image_id=1837618

A home for failed renders. What a great idea! Really fantastic modeling, textures, lighting and reflections. The use of spherical perspective opens the scene up so perfectly.
