Description

"Talk about your plenty, talk about your ills, one man gathers what another man spills." "Don't be a collector of more than you need, got a lot of things growing, but keep watching your seeds." "Sometimes the lights all shining on me and other times i can barely see, lately it occurs to me, what a long strange trip it's been." --The Grateful Dead

Like the previous 4 gallery entries, these were shot with T-Max 400 Black & White 35mm film using an old SLR, and developed and printed by me. Some darkroom techniques were utilized, such as dodging and burning. Postwork in Photoshop was minimal, mainly to create the layout and add the type. No farm animals were injured in the making of this triptych. Have a great weekend everyone, and please keep those suffering the aftermath of Katrina in your thoughts. Send some aid if you can, they have a long, tough road ahead of them. ----- Thanks for stopping by and for your prickly comments on Thursday's photo, Prickly Caress.

The tones of those B&W shots are simply awesome! That's what strikes me the most here!! So rich and deep and warm!!

Definite difference of b/w shot and developed on film compared to desaturating a digital photo. i like the first photo..much more interesting to me..sending pic soon.

I never 'got' the Grateful Dead myself (perhaps because of a preference for what comes out of a bottle rather than more 'flamable' products?) but I like the pictures :-)))

One's dead makes another's bread (Dutch saying). Wonderful work, Kort, you still know how to apply good old photographic skills so well!
