Dear Jack, I'm running a littel behind in catching up on everyone - again! Please forgive me. Fractal works alwasy amaze and puzzle me - I always trying to force them into patterns - except the patterns keep shifting. I often thing that they are mathematically generated Pollack's. From such simplicity spring such complexity. Sort of how CHON produces us or single bit's produce digital. The yellows, oranges, and tangerines as they whirlabout make me thing of "creamsicles" (an ice cream bar of swirled vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet - yummy!) I think that in some ways fractals are pure abstraction and are the highest form of art as the image is not on the paper or screen - but in our minds!! Love, Meredith PS - Elliot fan! I'll have to look up Fletcher!
