Description

We brought the wedding to Dad. There is no way he is going to make it to August. My Dad is yellow his liver, pancreas, and kidneys are shutting down. They wanted to put him in the hospital Friday, but he told them he was going to walk his daughter down the aisle. They put him in the hospital Sunday as we were leaving to come back to Oshkosh. They are going to drain some of the liquid off and make him more comfortable. We promised him he was going to get to walk me so we went to him. I put this under snapshots because my brother in law was privileged to once again touch my camera.

This is a very beautiful photo! You dad is a very handsome gentleman, along with your husband. I am so very glad that he was able to walk you down the aisle.

Your dad looks so happy. I'm glad he got to see you married. And this may be the only chance we get to see Dave in a suit.

What a wonderful thing that your Dad got to do the business and see you married! Last I dreamed I let someone else use my old film SLR and they let it get stolen!

These photographs of your wedding are great to see! I'm so happy for you and Dave. You're a wonderful couple, and I know you've been working toward this for a long time. Your dad looks on top of the world! What a blessing for all of you. Take good care, my friend, and congratulations to you and Dave!

a beautiful moment, Cheri, and all the more poignant for your dad's presence. It's so wonderful that he could be there to see it, to be by both of you & give his lifetime blessing to it all. I don't know where he is now, but I hope they've done all they could to help him & that he is comfortable and at peace with what he is dealing with everyday. The picture speaks a mountain, it is so moving that you two did this last month & that your dad was there. (And one can see the family resemblance between him & you!) As I said to Dave in his last upload, those of us who met you saw how deep your bond went, and how real it was, and how much experience was behind it, from both your lives separately as well as together. This marriage is so affirming; and being able to do it with your dad made it all the more powerful & touching. I wish you both many years of profound love & connection, through whatever comes your way...you both deserve it, have worked long & hard for it, and those who know you are obviously very moved by this. Many many more, Cheri, with love & great wishes, mark.

What a gorgeous moment and I love this shot...I think it's because of the people in it. Everybody looks so radiant! Your dad looks quite happy and nicely dapper too. What I really love is the way this snapshot (It's actually a really fantastic photo...not just a snapshot) is so dignified but not stiff. There's a real mood, and its a happy one. And you know, in some places it's really good luck to see a bride and so you've endowed Renderosity with a ton of good luck just by posting this picture. Congratulations to you and Dave and the whole family! This is a fantastic and memorable shot!

Wonderful photo! Your Dad IS a very happy man! Two of the greatest moments in my life were when my Father-in-law brought my wife to me and the look on his face, then my turn to walk our daughter up the aisle. Words fail at that moment! Thanks so much for sharing.
