Wow, I haven't uploaded anything in a while. Well, here ya go. This is actually an assignment I did for a computer art class Im in at the moment. The guidelines were to take some form of writing (song lyrics, poetry, etc.) and turn them into an illustration in Photoshop. The final piece then had to be something more than just a 2D printout. You cant tell from this, but the its actually 2 layers, one for the figure and cross, and another for the background / ground, which has the lyrics to the song and a cast shadow of the first layer. The first layer is then cut out and standing vertical so that it looks like its casting the shadow. The image is based on the song Cyberchrist by the band Flesh Field. Ive had the idea floating around in my head for a while, but just never got around to doing anything for it until now. Originally I planned to do something more badass & totally in 3D, but that will have to wait until another day. The image is a combination of rendered Poser models, ZBrush tools & textures, web images, and Photoshop filters. Anyway, thanks for looking. ~Andrew~
