Description

Please watch full size. This is the same scene as my previous image, "The Old Road", link below, but with a completely different camera position. In terms of content, the only differences between the two scenes are that now I added a bird and a flower and removed the mist and two cobblestones. Few differences but a very different image. I think it's fun to watch at a scene from a different perspective, I hope you agree. I don't know why I don't do it more often. thumb_1999151.jpg Thanks for watching!

Also this one has greater DOF going on,too. It's really pretty, but focuses more on the flower than the bird. Very cool. I'm impressed by the insane amount of details in your scenes.

Hello Atrur, nice one! And i agree, my working method is mostly: - First make a scene - Walk around in it to find a nice camera viewpoint So i understand what you say.

I am biased against Vue's DOF so I'm afraid I don't like this one Artur. I find the DOF too calculated and somehow triangular... my eye doesn't know where to glance too next within the frame. Like I said I am biased and this from hours of effort trying to learn a workflow for DOF within Vue and failing. I find it very frustrating that a 10sec photoshop lensblur on a Vue z-depth image in the alpha channel can produce much better results than Vues native DOF. Do you have any tips? Comparing this image to the thumbnail of the alternative, in that the eye does naturally 'wander' around the image. You have bucketloads of talent so I'm sure one tiny bit of criticism won't hurt! This is a really beautiful image with a lovely perspective and great use of light and shadow, as well as the fore and background blur to mimic photography. Very cleverly done. Love the two pink flowers, so small and yet so standing so prettily in striking pose, so delicate yet so strong together surrounded by such a big world. This image has so much thought-provoking depth that one has to spend quite a bit of time contemplating it ... large view is a must. Superb image, my friend. 10 stars!

I love the color and details, really beautiful. The blur is a wonderful tool and you've used it to great effect in this image. I find when I look at the flower, my attention keeps getting pulled toward the grass to the right, since it's in focus also. I don't know if you intended this, but for me, it makes it a little uncomfortable (perhaps my eyes are getting a little old!). Wonderful work Artur!

I really like the DOF on this image. For me, the eye is drawn to the bird, then the red floor and then the sones out in the water. Makes me see the whole scene.
