This is a commission.
I was asked to draw the original character of the commission. She is a human but I understand sort of a fan of mermaids and all things water. This time her tail has a sort of functional design besides the swimming and the decorative, I don't know if can see it ;)
I hope you like it.
I do commissions. Send me a message if you are interested.

If she is human I guess that means her tail is part of a suit or something right? Shouldn't you add a seam of some sort to show that?
Also, if the tail is symmetric, then the fin on the top side is opposite a similar fin underneath, which she is squashing. I guess that might be the intent, but it bugs me.
The subtle light lines that indicate she is underwater are a nice touch. They are simple, but effective.
Yes, I guess I could have added a seam, but the commissioner didn't tell me to, and I didn't want to add too much stuff. The fin is underneath indeed, they are really flexible so it shouldn't be a problem.
It is a challenge to give the information when the palette (black and white) is so limited. So the lights help.
