Description

Please Zoom In Modeler friend Alain Bouchet has just released his new Delahaye 165 Figoni Falaschi auto model from 1939. This was already a beautiful model of this historic vehicles... but now he has added both the engine and engine compartment interior and custom luggage. Alain has made this in both Poser and Vue formats. See the engine in its stand. For all those old guys like me out there.. beautiful wire wheels and whitewall tires are included.. drool : ) In love with this early design, I thought that it would need a proper home... that of a collectors garage. To create this architectural model I am start from the car itself and building around it in a night time scene as I look to what I want/need to include. As you can see in this first test render, this garage will be based on an older building that has been turned into a custom garage with a Shy light roof. I have render 3 different views to see where I want to add details. Areas to be worked on are the window frames, hinges, door knobs.. light fixtures, gutters, and a complete set of upscale interior work cabinets, tables and benches. I have already modeled a basic engine stand, welding system and lift. The Vehicles is now available here at Rend. My garage, which can be used for any number of collector garages should be available for next weekend on C3D.

Composition and building looks great but I think the atmosphere/lighting could be improved, right now its a little flat.

The latest I have seen in collectgor's garages is one that has a transparency to a dining room or living room. Just like the Irish having cows and sheep in the house now cars are coming inside too. This would make a nice greenhouse conservaory addition to a house that has been converted to a garage space. Will need it's own steam plant to heat and be subject to condensation on cold days. Didn't they in the early days call these places "orangeries?"
