Description

Since it's weekend I'm buried deep in Photoshop, doing what I feel like for a change. Gets old quickly when you're stuck making web graphics all day long :p First of all, thank you for all the kind comments on my painting of Merlin :) Glad you liked it. This is not far away from Merlin really since it is the actor behind the character, Colin Morgan. Wanted to do something non-Merlin as well and the only thing that belongs to the character here is the scarf. This will not be a painting in the same way as the one I did a few weeks back. I've decided to transfer a technique from the physical world of art to digital...but I can't remember what it's called...LOL But in short you use black watercolor or ink to create shadows and a pencil for the details. Which means that it's black and white. I've made an exception here with the scarf since I want to create some contrasts. The clothing are nothing but one basic layer so far, so there's a lot left to do. The face is almost done, and so is the hair. His neck needs more work as well. And I'm sorry about the size, but in order to show any kind of details in these three pictures I had to make it a biggie. Original size I'm working in is 3000x2848 pixels and 300 dpi. Hope your weekend is a good one and that all of you are doing well :D
