Description

This picture of Cody was taken a year ago during the month of October just before winter hit. He is running up to great me as always knowing I have a little treat to share with him. Cody is a 5 year old grizzly that I found and helped keep alive when his mother was killed. He was set free after about six months miles away from where I live however he always comes back before winter starts. Here on the property there are several large caves and yearly dear, antelope, coyote, ducks, foxes and an occasional wolf or so. You name it there are probably a couple around the property at one point or another.

OMG How did you remain calm enough to shoot this photo. I've never heard of a tame Grizzly... great picture.

I love the image and on pristine clean snowy background, makes you think why can't we choose what we come back as, I want to be a Grizzly Bear.

Really great. This is an instant favourite for me. I love the story of your relationship with Cody (and admit I am slightly envious of it too). Such a fantastic looking animal and your picture of him is phenomenal.

this gives me positive vibes big time, that you helped and that he is coming to greet you. the grizzly is at least thankful not like the humans, you give a human a finger and he grabs the whole arm up to the elbow. absolutely fantastic.

You must be very brave to approach this animal because all they know is to kill and eat please be very careful cause i do know a friend that kept one as a pet and then one day all we found was body parts of him,it was the only thing in the house with him guess he was really hungry but he was always fed so good we just could not imagine this ever happening to him.Fantastic capture hon.

I am absolutely amazed by the story, between the bear and yourself, they do know, who is a good person - how wonderful, that he always returns to greet you! and what a superb capture with the lovely Winter-scene as background, top marks Marty, BB

Oh my God. I have never seen anything like this in my life. One of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life too. What a majestic place! And wow. Buddy. My friend, you have balls the size of the moon. I got chased by a black bear once. No cubs that I saw. It just turned and started after us on the path. I had a freakin' candy bar in my pocket. I was throwing it over my shoulder as we ran. LOL. And I know you're not supposed to run, but he was coming after us. This is absolutely amazing. And I know I don't have to say this because you obviously know what you're doing, but please, please be careful.

Amazing sight and capture my friend. Glad you were able to save this fellow and that it was able to be released in the wild. Somehow i sense that it remembers you and that this animal will never forget you. God Bless.
