Archways and stairs again ... a recurring theme. Something private? I won't pry, though it intrigues me just a little. Excellent and well-crafted artistry. Mike

Hello Mike :) MMYESS...when I was a young woman, I lived in Israel in 1 year. I never forgot the wonderful old part of Jerusalem and the old Acco. There are many of those portals, stones, bricks, stairways, entrances and even just the fantastic perspectives there. So maybe it is still in my mind when I draw. But actually I Love Adobe houses from New Mexico too, even though I have never been there, so am really not sure, what gave me the passion. LOL ! Helle

Maybe I've seen some of these in the forum, but it doesn't matter: Seeing them again is very special. These drawing/paintings of a city have a 'gift'-feeling to them, like you're making a gift of little handfuls of a city. I love the slate-blue shading on your bricks & urns. And the city behind the arch is in gentle violet-gray shade. And your choice of just so-many bricks—leaving the rest of the picture surrounded by empty space—is wonderful. Pieces like these are simple yet have just the right amount of detail to sing; and they feel like little mementos which one tucks away for moments when one wants to share them with a loved one. I love this; and what a wonderful way to start your gallery on Rosity...
