Description

Picture of my granddaughter, Karissa, having fun with art on my computer! Jeez, she's getting more fun out of it than I am! LOL For a Kindergardener, she's got an amazing handle on the language and her knowledge of websites, pages, etc. is amazing! When I was a kid, the common 'calculator' was a huge one-armed adding machine with tab keys! LOL Yikes! I feel old...very old...think I'll grab a cup of herbal tea, cozy up with the cat on this cold rainy day in Georgia, and read a book...ya'll remember "books" don't ya? ROFLMAO!!!

Cool picture! I think that each generation seems to have a natural knack at interacting with the current technology.

I remember my first calculator ... bought to do the statistical analyses needed on a post-grad. course. It was state-of-the-art because it could do square roots ... Wow! It cost the equivalent of a full PC system these days. Your cute granddaughter certainly looks at ease in every way. Great stuff!

If you notice my tower on the floor under the desk, the side is off because it overheats and the thing now sounds like a garbage disposal when it boots up! LOL Yeah, looking for a new tower and hoping to get something from Alienware! Hear that Santa? LOL

You mean no one uses those old Burrows adding machines anymore??? LOL Am I dating myself or what? Except I have to curl up with a book on this snowy day in Alberta. Your granddaughter's an absolute little doll!

I remember the mimeograph machines in grammer school (before they started calling it "Elementary" school!) and the god-awful purple ink! The drum rotating made such a racket! LOL
