Ce château fort en ruine est le premier que j'ai visité à l'âge de 10 ans, depuis plus d'un demi siècle il y a eu beaucoup de choses de faites, mais il a servi de carrière et donc comme la plupart des châteaux dans cet état ne pourra jamais être remis en état. C'est lui qui a déclenché en moi l'amour de notre patrimoine architectural.

J'essaie d'imaginer le rôle de ce château fort si austère; ce n'est pas la demeure principale d'un aristocrate, sa demeure secondaire, tout au plus. J'essaie d'imaginer le niveau de violence de cette époque, pour justifier la construction d'un tel ouvrage; c'était probablement terrifiant. Cette photo est impressionnante!

With the road so close to the structure the casualness of the scene very much reminds me of the Mission and Fort in Goliad Texas. This of course in much more massive and strong looking though. Love all your photography very much.
