Description

Cecropia Moth Caterpillar, which will become the largest moth, in North America. This caterpillar was about 3 inches long and ate the whole time that I watched it. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Excellent focus and colors in this foto, Dana! Those little red orbs look like mines with the prongs and all.

A monster catepillar, it looks like it has lady bugs riding on it's back. So cool looking but I bet quite damaging to the plants it eats. Superb shot.

What a shot! I love a caterpillar that carries fake ladybugs on its back! I have no idea what all of those little appendages and doohickies are, but I was always fascinated by how they looked like ladybugs and other predatory insects! It's been a long time since I've seen one of these eating machines and I'm incredibly glad I've seen this one. This is a perfect capture!
