Description
"Let's go." JS said lifting H34 from the chair.
At the steam plant Lee asked: "How many orcs are inside?"
"Two, maybe three." H34 filled in far too quickly.
"Liar," JS stated.
"Me? No, I don't know how many orcs there are inside, but they won't be more than 3 for this kind of business."
H34 knew there were 5 orcs and a Gray, which coincidentally he had failed to mention, but was looking for a way to get the bounty on JS's head.
"They're five." JS said.
"One against five, can you manage it?" Lee asked JS.
"Yeah, the orcs are snafu-guys and poor shooters."
"So why everybody hires them?" Lee asked.
"Yes, why?" H34 was genuinely interested.
"They're hired for their brutality and overwhelming fire power. This usually scares people, but they aren't worth two shits."
"They never give up." H34 said.
"Are they loyal, then?" Lee asked.
"Loyal, nay. They're just dumbassholes. When they start realizing it's time to turn their coats, they're already dead." JS laughed. "Stop philosophizing about the orcs, here we are. Lee, when I give the signal, unshackle him and go in. You, asshole, do your job, get the money, and cut and run. I'll keep our deal. Am I clear?"
H34 nodded.
"Maybe you should give me a gun." Lee said.
JS stared at him: Lee was a horrible shot, but he must have a chance. JS raised H34's cans volume and reached out a gun: "When the fireworks start, duck down and stay put. Shoot only when you see the whites of their eyes. I'll have to move a lot in there and don't want to be shot by you. Friendly fire is the one thing that really pisses me off! Tie it to your ankle."
"What now?" H34 asked petulantly.
"Shut up! your moment of glory is coming." JS said and vanished into the night. Shortly after he called Lee. "Showtime."
As soon as H34 was free, he looked around. "Where is he?"
Lee shrugged.
"Move!" H34 shouted arrogantly giving Lee a shove in the small of the back. Silently Lee thanked JS for having made him tie the gun to his ankle, otherwise H34 would have found it. As they entered the Gray ordered the orcs to stop. After a final salvo of gunfire and shouting, they obeyed the order with grudging rudeness. From his vantage point JS had counted how many rounds were left to each orc. They had fired most of their rounds cheering the striptease and were now dry: seven rounds left in all.
"This is the doctor you were looking for." H34 said.
"Fine." The Gray pressed a few keys on the device in his hand and showed the display to H34. "The money is in your account."
So far into H34's soul a fierce struggle between fear and greed had been raging, but after watching the figure on his account greed trumped fear.
"What is the price on Sea's head?"
"Sea?" G-2348 asked with obvious interest, "Whatever figure you ask."
"Sea is here ..."
A bullet sliced through the centre of H34's forehead killing him instantly. Lee dove for cover.
"Here!" The dancer shouted ducked behind a crate. Lee crawled toward her. From the corner of his eye he saw JS jumping from a scaffold to another and landing lithely on the floor.
The Gray yelled something. An orc ran to the back of the depot.
Boom.
The explosion rattled the building.
JS traded fire with the orcs. The coppery smell of dust, blood and fear poisoned the air.
Bang! Bang!
Calm, JS shot the baddies with deadly accuracy.
Two orcs hit the concrete like cow dump plopping on a flat rock.
A third orc crawled behind a turbine to assault JS with a knife. JS sliced him open him with a burst.
"Who is he? He's like a god of war!" the cicada cried.
"He's Jay Sea." Lee said.
She almost stood up. "Knock'em dead, Sea!" she cried. "Do you think he will help me?"
"Duck down, or there will be no one to help." Lee replied.
G-2348 ran up the stairs to the car on the roof.
A few more rounds and the game was over.
"The Gray ran away!" Lee cried.
"No, the rabbit fell into the trap!" JS grinned.

Love your chapter! Excellent action and details! My brother used to say, 'dropped like a turd from a tall ox.' in reference to your line about one dropping 'like cow dump plopping on a flat rock'.
