...we spent a few hours yesterday at the National World War I Museum in Kansas City.
Yesterday, after being inspired by RodS, I took all of my pictures in the museum using "exposure bracketing". Hence, this is my first successful HDR posting.
This is a French built Renault FT tank, knocked out of action in 1917 or 1918 by a German 77mm artillery shell...there's a big hole in the armor plate around back.

Great POV, lighting and details on this old timer, a veritable icon of tank warfare back during the war to end all wars, Bill. The track mechanism on the sides are really exposed to enemy fire. And those turret guns are really a joke compared to our modern tanks.
Looks like that HDR worked really well for you Bill! This is really a great shot – it's not easy to get good exposures in that Museum... Now I'm gonna have to go back there and try some exposure bracketing myself! See, now you've inspired me! LOL We had a wonderful time Monday, and hope to see you and Tara again soon! Hugs to you both from Jo and me!
