The Chronicles of Inthandonia: Part Three

Physicists and Wizards know that time is an illusion, an artifact of our limited consciousness attempting to understand an infinite timeless and spaceless singularity - the Universe, the One Song. There is no reality, only perception. From this knowing also comes the understanding that everything is connected - there are no coincidences.... So it is that evening finds our wandering troubadours resting by a merry fire exactly halfway along the ruptured Ley Line of Gremmels Gorge. As Amy improvises over the chords Sam looks for suitable words to accompany the tune. Several cats sit nearby, attracted by the subtle magick of the music. As so often happens on Inthandonia a sequence of synchronous probabilities collapses in a most improbable way. The inherent magickal energy given off by the Gremmels Gorge ley line combines with the other-worldyness of the three accompanying felines. The resulting energy becomes modulated by sympathic vibrations from the music and focussed by the power of a singular and most potent name. Sam is writing a new song he calls "The Ballad of Bolgaradol Smekter", about the most powerful of all the Darthan Battle-Mages who vanished, along with an entire city, shortly after the end of the great Wizard Wars hundreds of years ago. The songs chorus includes this line: " Bolgaragol, Bolgaradol, Bolgaradol, where are you now?". At the third repitition of this line of lyric, unbeknownst to our wandering minstrels, a powerful spell is released which works quietly in the background.
