This is cool. It reminds me of the mussel beds that my Mom raided when I was a kid. She loved them steamed. All of those lovely shelled creatures nestled in a mud bank.

I'm always amazed at the variety of textures you get...this feels like a gigantic cross-section of bone structures, where we see the porous openings. And the structure is vast and complex, with lots of canyons and caves, and lots of frontal sections bathed in bright light. All in all, it creates a large head-like structure emerging out of a base; but it could be so many things. The rush of lines, esp along the top and around the 'head' of this beast, is quite engaging. And, though this is made of very few hues, it's so complex that we don't think about that. Full size is a must; it's splendid and enormously rich.
