Description

Here's a 3-shot panorama of Bridge Of The Gods which crosses the Colombia River at Cascade Locks. This was taken on the Oregon side - the far side is in Washington. According to Mike, an hour after we left, the clouds rolled back, the sun came out, and it was a beautiful day. Figures. At any rate, I got some really cool shots of the Colombia River Gorge. We're presently in Rock Springs, Wyoming. We should get home Tuesday evening. Then I'll sleep until Saturday! 😁 It's been a fun trip, and I accomplished almost everything I wanted (except a decent shot of St. Helens..), but we're both tired and it will be good to get home. Until we get the itch to hit the road again.. And we will.. In the meantime, I'll be getting T.N.A. back up to speed.. Thanks for stopping by, and for all your great comments, support, and friendship!

Have a safe rest of journey home my friend. Weather can be tricky and unpredictable.

A cool view you've captured Rod. That panoramic view makes this awesome, has you looking everywhere even seeing the train in distance.

The environment of the US is so varied and wondrous, but the NW has to be one of the best places to visit...really a beautiful capture, Rod...get home safely.

Oh, I myself am full of admiration for this place, and in the 1st place for its inclusion. What a fantastic POV, it must be great, one can a kind of breathing this beauty of nature. I can imagine that you enjoyed it. Meanwhile you are arrived save at home I guess.

This is an excellent panorama and I think some clouds in the sky are better for the photo than a wide empty sky.

Lol Richard's comment. (I stayed at a motel in northern Ontario, where a roach called me by name, was reading the NY Times when I walked in, and invited friends over for Bridge while I was out, played golf and drove a Bentley. The mountains have insects the size of Buicks!) I'd love to see this huge: a beautiful composition, with the bridge almost pointing to the river, and the river winding into the sky, and that beautiful blue-green in the water, and the light blue of the sky, etc. And dark trees and mountains. A real beauty. And you caught it with a lone boat out there, streaking the water white. Always great to see your photography, Rod.

(and thanks, as always, for your wonderful comments whenever you come around: their humor, joy, observation, enthusiasm, reception, all of it. I appreciate them greatly, Rod. You're one of those people who keep me creating, and I'm very grateful)
