Description
July 7, 2105
Past a sliding door one comes to this room in the green house. The bridge lies over a small pool. Again, hot and humid. At the far door I stopped. A small bird (sparrow of some sort?) sat by the door. I slowly knelt down and stretched out my hand. It just sat there looking at me until I was 4 inches away, when suddenly the door opened automatically for some visitors. The bird flew off into the foliage to the right. It was the last I saw of it. I had hoped to photograph it. I could hear it "conversing" with other birds of its sort but couldn't see them.
In the pool there were several strange plants I'll post tomorrow.

Very cool capture and wonderful narrative. it's a shame that busy humans had to interrupt your meeting with the bird. no doubt the chittering was the one bird telling the others about his close encounter with you.

Happens every time..... A chance to connect with nature (even in an artificial environment), and inevitably it's spoiled by a group of other people. A shame. At least you got a great shot of the environment. I'm looking forward to seeing your next photos!

Now, this is like one of the Big Tropical Houses at London Zoo and you can get shots of birds there - if your lucky lol Love the walkthrough, did they have butterfly's in here.? Rob
