Description

My dad was a boogie boarder from back when I was a child. He was good, going for the huge waves. Once, when he was boogie boarding at a New Jersey beach, the lifeguard wouldn't let anyone enter the water....except my dad. He wasn't a great swimmer, so he never became a surfer, but he would stand whereever he had to, to greet the humongous waves. They would mostly carry him, but every now and then beat him into the sand Time took its toll, however, and he stopped when he was in his seventies. He's an old timer now, with good memories.

Boogie boarding? Nope, not this bat. Although, I think I saw an ocean once when I was 11.

Thanks for sharing your memories!

You've really captured his vitality and determination. He has good memories of those days ... and you have these good memories of him. These are what we carry for the rest of our days -- those moments most typical of who they are/were in life.

Yeah, fingers. Like the eyes, so expressive in real life, and so hard to capture in any art, especially with 3D tools like Poser/DAZ.

That is sooooo cool that he was able to do that into his 70s! I'm 71, and if I tried that I'd die on the first attempt! LOL

This is a really great render and what a super tribute to your dad!
