Description

Entry for the Bryce Forum's August Challenge, "Drawing Of The Tree". Tree is actually 3 stuck together from the Tree Lab, tree base/vase is all built from Terrains. DTE procedural textures for the tree, picture textures for the hdri and the table. No big post-processing save for some brightness/color tweaking, and the signature. After the August Challenge is over, the Bonsai tree will be available in freestuff. Thanks goes to Adamite for his material (Hexoid Mithril Mail) which is used on the tree base/vase! Thanks to the talented members in the Bryce forum, for their own w.i.p. pictures which spurred me on/inspired me to tackle the Bryce Tree Lab!

Excellent clarity and design and mats, the bonsai looks so unlike a B5 tree (that's a good thing!).

After reading a remark about the oriental look of the vase, I checked in googles search and I find that most of the vase match the image and I am sure agent smith has had a look at it too before rendering it. Even though I saw few basic oriental shaped vase most were flat and like the one shown above. Love the render, Excellent!!

Great job as far as your use of Bryce treelab, but as a bonsai it lacks the character and realism to nature that a bonsai enthusiast would strive for. Refine the branching structure a bit and this would be a masterpiece.

Wonderfully done, AgentS! The lighting is fantastic, and the gnarled bonsai rocks!
