I really like this shot for its sheer perfection to begin with. Great details and a wonderful sense of this creature...perfect light as well. As for the postwork, it's nicely subtle...I can see that it's a postworked piece, but like the best special effects in the best movies, it's hard to actually notice as it's woven into the fabric of the artwork itself. That, in my book, marks it as successful and incredibly well done. I really like this image, especially the details of this little beauty's face! This is great!
