Description

The Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo )measures between 40 and 58 cm (16 and 23 in) in length with a 109–136 cm (43–54 in) wingspan and a body mass of 427–1,364 g (0.94–3.01 lb), making it a medium-sized raptor. As this bird was seen in Fuerteventura, it is most probably the subspecies Buteo buteo insularum . La Buse variable (Buteo buteo) est une espèce de rapaces diurnes de la famille des accipitridés. Cet oiseau, vu à Fuerteventura appartient sans doute à la sous-espèce Buteo buteo insularum. Thank you for your comments and favs on my previous upload :

I was driving out in the country recently, and a buzzard was perched on the wall and took off & flew parallel to me. The sun shone & its wings & it looked so beautiful. Although it may only be a "medium" sized raptor, it looked huge to me.
