This image was posted originaly in the 2D gallery but I change my mind; the original image come from a render of TZ the other beetles are other render layered on a mask made from the original render all these assembled in PS. Lot of work but lot of learning also.

Interesting. You should try something like this using FractalVizion images, it can make some interesting insect-like shapes, and in 3d (option #7 in the FV's remote I think).
