Description

The upper half of the state of New Hampshire lives by a different set of rules than the rest of the world. If you have a dead pine tree or an unwanted pine tree, in your yard, you call the chainsaw guys and you have a work of art by the end of the day. Staining is extra. We are off to York Beach, Maine on Monday. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

There's a lot of that around here too; eagles as well as bears are quite popular, as are otters. Might as well make it art, right? Fantastic shot, Dana!

I love these carvings! There are a few places around the Ossipee area that sell them. Amazing what you can do with a chainsaw besides cutting down a tree or taking your leg off, LOL. Hope you had fun in York Beach!! Did you get any taffy from Goldenrod's? I love the peanut butter the best!

At first I thought this was taken somewhere in Oregon. There are also many sculptures like this there. Is the tree still rooted in the ground here or do they cut it off first, create the sculpture and then place it where they want?

I couldn't tell if it was still rooted in the ground - it was surrounded by crushed stone.

This is a really nice sculpture. And if it was done by chinsaw it is an incredible sculpture. Much better than the ones I saw in Puyallup, Washington years ago.
