a most unusual painting from you, Yves: You've hidden most of the woman's face, so she's almost an 'abstract'...and you've used only a few strokes for her body---you're really bordering on abstraction here, moving into the realm of the early modern masters who articulated the human body as sheer shape, form and line. We can feel the "wind" here---definitely: your few lines and shapes are definitely blowing here. But this also has the feel of a cutout/découpe, something Matisse would create. And your 2 tones---black and orange-red---stand out strikingly against the white. Even her hair is geometrically stylized---with that single little curl in back. (It's almost ancient Egyptian...) Wonderful abstraction of the human form. And I love the green and other hues you've rubbed into the corners. Fine work, Yves...and well deserved for Flavia, who's one of our tireless creative writers, and who does highly elaborate, creative images to accompany her very complex tales. A fine dedi for her. Happy Birthday, Flavia! And many, many more!
