Description
Everyone is probably sick of seeing LOTR fanart by now but I decided to try some in pencil. I just started with pencils again a month or so ago. Use to work with them years ago. Any suggestions or comments welcome.
Scanned and resized in photoshop, brightened the highlight of the eyes with the dodge tool slightly otherwise its untouched. Graphite, 2b, 4B and HB on plain old newsprint.

Nice pencil portraits and excellent gallery! The face is the hardest object you will ever draw. But, pencil is a fun medium to work in!

Good to see some real art happening. You have captured the eyes very well but seem to have let the hair and some of the rest of it a touch unfinished, I think a bit more defining around the face would make a difference, and I like LOTR
