The girls days have all changed in this hot weather we are having. So they are out by 7am in the morning & miss their afternoon walk & go late at night. Pic of the girls sharing the water after a walk but NOT in the hot sun!!!! I love the heat, I can be cold in the middle of summer, always take a jumper, fleece just in case. I often have the heated seats on in the car. I am miserable in the cold. BUT!!!! I do hate to see SOME people dragging their dogs about in the heat, fair weather walkers I call them. They don't take their dogs out in the bad weather as, they, the people will get wet. Never mind if the poor dogs are hot. Also they stand around on the pavement talking to friends & don't realise that the pavements are so hot that they can burn the dogs feet. Plus when out at an event where the dog has gone with them they never have water???? Yes better that they with the owner than being left in the car. It is a case of "Oh look the sun is out, Fido will love a walk" Yes I take the girls to shows but travelling they have the air con on, they have ice packs in the back of the car with them, plenty of cold drinks. When we stop for coffee the back is open (we have gates) they are locked in & its a case of collect coffee & back to car. At the show they have heat reflecting coats, sit in the shade & we are only there for as long as we have to be.
