Abstract made in Bryce 7.1 pro. I used 9 balls and 4 lights. This is the second view; the first one is at the DAZ Bryce forum (show us your renders).

I've seen the other one. I'm always amazed how a camera reposition can change an abstract and it gets difficult deciding which iteration should be the final one. Very nice looking, this one, too.

Yes, you are right. Small change in location of camera or lights or a modification in the settings of the textures can make a totally different image. And it is always difficult to decide what is the end result. This is also true for old-fashioned paintings, where I often have difficulty deciding 'finished'.
