Description

Although it was founded in 1144, and contrary to what suggest its massiveness in exterior vue (see also previous photo), Beaulieu Abbey is an architecture of gothic style, because the latest changes to its architecture date from the late 13th century. The space in the foreground of the photo was originally occupied by the cloister, disappeared in the early 19th century. Soon we will continue the visit in the chapter hall ... Bien qu'elle ait été fondée en 1144, et contrairement à ce que laisserait supposer son aspect un peu massif vu de l'extérieur ( voir aussi la photo précédente ), l'abbaye de Beaulieu est de style gothique: les derniers remaniements de son architecture datent de la fin du XIII ème siècle. L'espace au premier plan de la photo était à l'origine occupé par le cloître, disparu au début du 19ème siècle. Bientôt la suite de la visite dans la salle capitulaire... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200

Dommage que le cloître ait disparu.Ce sont au moins des lieux rafraîchissant pour les visiteurs. Par contre on dirait que la fontaine est restée en place :)
