Description

A Sicilian rose, in a dragon heart(for Emmecielle) This is a big image, and you need to zoom for details. I am not doing many dedication images. It is not my style really. But i do them when it is proper. This is a special tribute to my very good friend from Sicily. Known here on Renderosity as, Emmecielle, MC, or Maria. Maria has a fantastic gallery with many beautiful photos and fractal works..you can see it here: Click here to experience Maria's fantastic gallery. Maria showed me parts of friendship lately, Over a distance of 2700 kilometers... A kind friendship, of which i did not think excisted anymore. But i was wrong. And i'm still chewing on it. :) Since Maria and i, share a common passion for baroque music, and especially J.S. Bach. The choice of music to accompany the image, was simple easy. #:o) Even though, J.S.Bach were an extremely busy composer. This fine J.S Bach piece, of which i selected to accompany this dedication image, is in popular term called... Air(Air on the G String). Musicians and people who love classical music, also know it as: Overture (Suite) No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068. I think Maria like it too. :) It is a very beautiful and relaxing piece, and i found 2 fantastic versions of it. One for a single classical guitar, and one for orchestra. I like both versions very much. First a very simple, but fantastic and beautiful version on classical guitar, performed by the swedish composer and musician Per-Olov Kindgren: Click here to hear the composition performed on the classical guitar. A stunning version performed by an orchestra, is most likely the way J.S Bach, meant for it to be performed: Click here to hear the composition performed by orchestra. I started getting to know Maria in june 2008, when she commented on a post in my old gallery. It is almost 3 years ago now. Time pass so fast #:o) We quickly found our common interests, fascinations and passions. Maria love her family, children and grandchildren, of course. But she also love Sicily, Italy, Etna, roses, J.S. Bach, and several other things. Several are common fascinations for the both of us. So these common interests, are also the foundation in the image i made, for todays post. And as Maria once said.... Etna grumble, smokes, vomits lava, shakes the earth and our houses... but we love our "muntagna" of an unconditional love! "a muntagna" (the mountain) is the affectionate Sicilian dialect name with which Etna is called in Catania ! :) The background photo used in this image, is photo of Etna, captured by Maria, and i used it with her permission. #;o) Etna is a fascinating piece of mother nature. The largest and most active volcanoe in all of Europe. A scary, but fascinating neighbour. But a pride for Sicily. The render is Daz3D Adv. I would have used Vue for the render, since the mediterranian product allow it. But the 3D import module(allowing the use Daz models in VUE) is a 130 dollar piece, and unfortunately way beyond my reach. :) So i went for a Daz render instead. I think i got away with it. :) In the image..Draco enjoy Etna, from his mediterranian terrace, breathing the fresh Air :), while he listen to J.S. Bach. #:o) An impression for life. And so is my friendship with Maria. Thank you for your friendship, Maria. I would literally starve without it. #:o) Also thanks for any comments or faves.

Our world is so small that no mileage play a role. Important is the friendship that unites all, and just as important is our art. I adore this picture, and the dedication it has created. Terrific!

A terrific image. It seems fitting that a dragon would relate to a volcanic mountain. Both are powerful and breath fire.
