A very welcoming doorway but I'm glad I don't have to take my groceries up all those steps. A lovely clear capture Bill. 😄

A handsome old house. I like the fact that the left and right sides don't match.

Very nice. It's a state I have yet to visit. My partner Deb however has been and loved it.

Such elegance! Quite a complicated building, doors on every level.

Fascinating architecture you've captured, Bill! I'm intrigued by the asymmetry - it looks like it could be two separate buildings, but a joint structure.

Looks like you two had a delightful stay!

yeah, Mark points out that the two sides are different: I'm with Rod, it's 2 separate bldgs, only a joint structure. (Coming from Chicago, I know this phenomenon well.) (You can't get a piece of paper in the space between such buildings!) And andrea points out doors on every level. Well, with all the stuff going on---the criss-cross sidewalk included (beautiful)---you still managed to make that stairwell the big 'center' of the shot---as it should be. If that were your place, I'd say, "not too shabby an entrance there, bill!!!" Great light on the lower stairs (and sides). The whites in general really stand out, and I really like that you captured the mixed nature of this facade---you didn't go for a simpler view: This is how these old facades look, all crammed together. Your light is delicious, and your crop brings out that crammed feeling. And what a beautiful place you two visited! I've been in love with it since you two started to post. (And I have no idea why I didn't comment on these before tonight.)
