Description
The rain squall was a bad one, more like this you might see up in the Northwest.
16 inches of rain in less than 5 hrs.
This is the 1st time in eons the Monuments have seen standing water.
The water will be here for days.
The sun comes out, bouncing of the formations.
Highlighting the sand bases of the Monuments, run off dust and dirt.
Dark, muddy with sand floating on it's surface.
It will go with gravity and slowly sink into the sands.
There will be a abundance of new vegetation this year.
Seeds that have been buried for decades will sprout.
The Gambles Quail will also produce extra large coveys this year.
The Rabbits will also have a boon year.
Brother Coyote will feast once more.
6 hrs ago this was a dry, parched land, now it's a lake.

These days we are seeing a lot of water is the washes that look like what we see here - due largely to the massive rains we're getting. I like this depiction Frank as a reminder to not drive through the washes!

Surfaces could be interesting with more layer. Water is good. Your pov is'nt very good: we can see the end of the terrain, and there is no depht here. I think the sky colors is strange, it not feel good with the rock and the water.
