Description
I'm not really here, I said to myself.
It must be a dream; and so it was, but this time even though I knew it was a dream, I didn't wake up, I just accepted the fact it was a dream and went along with it. It all seems very real, if rather unusual; I can hover above, rather than stand on, the pavement, I can run with no effort, fly even, and never come to harm; and know I am in a dream, and let things happen as they will.
It was the usual take wrong turning in a strange half-recognised town; and suddenly find myself not a few yards from my destination - maybe a house, a shop or the railway station - but many many miles away, maybe on a hill in the countryside with tantalising glimpses of the town I had been in, and no matter how fast I now walked, I knew I would never catch that train, or bus, or tram or ship - and maybe never ever arrive there. My goal kept moving farther away and the world constantly changed around me.
This sort of dream has been with me for years; maybe it represents the fact that I chose the wrong career? Who knows? But it has become more and more familiar, with towns, streets and stations which I do not recognise though I think I ought to.

A very strange dream! Not even with the ability to fly you can not reach your intended destination.
Love the scene with the guy's outfit, the fog clinging to the ground, and members of your robot troupe. Great surreal work!

The world does seem to be moving too fast and I often feel like I'm outside looking in and I can never catch up. This is a good view of your dream story. I like the mist and the stiff, tense posture of the man.

I especially like the happenstance character going into the background doorway. In my dreams I visit well remembered places again and again, but they are places I have never seen in waking life. Art galleries and antique stores that I love. 🙂
