Well done. Good work with posing and the splashes in the water. Could be anyone's birth, but I understand what is the underlying inspiration in this image (not necessarily Boticelli's painting, though you have the same title as his painting). Keep up the good work. Much appreciated! :-)

Thank you very much. it is an echo to my previous image with the birth of Alexandre Cabanel's Venus. I wanted to contrast the artificiality of this mythological and academic birth with the poignant simplicity of a birth in nature. I also wanted each face of these 3 women to have a strong and individual expression. Finally, this corner of nature forms a kind of case protecting the secret of this moment of shared quality. I like to think that the baby is a girl, and that she is the fourth generation Venus.

Grand mythe auquel beaucoup de peintres se sont "attaqués" avec plus ou moins de réussite: Cabanel, certes, mais aussi Fragonnard, Boucher,Moreau, Redon, Bouguereau, et plein d'autres dont j'ai oublié le nom... Ta "Naissance" a le mérite d'être la plus originale!

Merci Alain, la représentation est une chose, assister à la naissance d'un enfant est autrement plus intense. Je me dis parfois que pour apprécier la rencontre aux autres au-delà de nos différences, il nous faudrait nous rappeler que nous venons tous de cette expérience extraordinaire dont la mémoire nous est inaccessible. Peut-être est cela l'art, passer son temps à reconstituer des images dont nous avons perdu la forme...
