(I realize that most artists aren't writers, and aren't comfortable writing a lot about art---and that's truly fine...But I think, what if Rembrandt or Michelangelo posted online, and Michelangelo got comments on his Sistine Chapel like, "cute," "I Like God...," "coooool," "Adam looks sweet...," or "cool fresco work, even though I'm not into frescos, lol...") On this little gift, you use black and dark hues very expressively, and they always set off your colors. Here, the reds and crimsons are set off beautifully by all that black---it actually looks like a reddish brown (a very dark, 'Rembrandt-ish' brown)...The pig has a great luminous pink---reminds me of bubble gum when we were kids!...and that little stuffed rabbit looks great in that cap and red mouth. And a classy clock w/ roman numeral numbers and a wreath around it. A simple, beautiful design, with rich hues and delightful choices. I hope your holiday season is kind and giving to you, Barb; I'll be here on and off this season, and it's always a great pleasure to actually comment on your work after viewing it beforehand (I view it almost as it goes up)---you create real magic here. I hope you're well, Barb, and I wish you much blessing and inspiration in this season and well beyond...
