Description

Two of the nights, these seem to be connected, they stand together at the entrance to the castle. Knight on the right: Nicholaa de la Haye (between 1150 and 1156 to 1230) inherited the office of castellan of Lincoln Castle. She was briefly Sheriff of Lincolnshire. The eldest daughter and co-heiress of Richard de la Haye (died 1169), a Lincolnshire lord, she was also a descendant of the pre-Conquest Lord Colswain of Lincolnshire. The left is called Battle of Lincoln Knight & represents 800 years since the battle of Lincoln in 1217. Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. x

Neat figures. These must make the city more colorful for visitors.

You got a typo here? " 800 years since the battle of Lincoln in 1912."

I've always loved the stone work in England and Europe. The Knights are cool, but I'm looking at the walkway, now that's art.
