Description

I was looking for drama in this image, composed and rendered in Poser Pro 2014. The gunship is my Sparrowhawk Flyer with British colors. The target is the Spirit of Punk Airship from DAZ with textures modified with Russian Empire colors from the Flyer set. The environment is a highly modified texture from Flink's Skys, augmented with a modified sky photo I took from a plane. The searchlight beam uses the volumetric Light Cone from JesterCGI, no longer in the Marketplace. The gun flames were post-composed using Gunplay. The crew is M4, some in the Officers and Gentlemen Expansion uniform with the pith helmet from the Steampunk Hat Set, the others in the Slosh Navy Uniform.

Nice scene! What's keeping the Sparrowhawk in the air they better get the engine started or they will plummet like a rock!

The flyer is inspired by the vehicles in the Space 1889 role-playing game. In the game a substance called "lift wood" provides a negative gravity effect. There are moveable slats on the bottom of the flyer, not visible in this render, composed of this material.
