Description

Kadagar Station was a busy place - a place where the ore ships came and went on an hourly basis. The corporations of Earth had sucked it dry and now they were out there sucking anything of value out of other worlds. Sometimes, shipments went missing. There was little they could do to track them down due to the fact the universe was a big place. There were always new pilots, new guards and laborers coming and going as well. If they weren't shipping out, they were usually holed up in one of the bars or brothels that lined the corridors of the great floating station. Sometimes, when they had a little too much to drink, they talked too much and said things they shouldn't be saying. He'd lurk in the shadows - a thing that came naturally for him - and listen with great interest. No one noticed him. His partner said it must be he was a lurker and a thief in another life, because he was just too good at it. It was unnatural! Then again, this wasn't exactly natural, either - being out here in this hostile environment. That didn't seem to phase him either. Very little did. "You got a heart like ice an' a mind like a steel trap, man...but I ain't complainin'! We just need a couple more shipments and we're set for life," his partner told him. Not like he didn't know. He had the uncanny ability to zero in on conversations across the din of the bar. One caught his ear now...a shipment of titanium ore was coming in tomorrow afternoon. Well, well.... Maybe just one more job, then. They didn't even need to nick the whole thing, only a smallish portion no one would miss. The wheels began to turn in his head. He'd wait until the guy left and and follow him, strike up a conversation if he seemed amenable. Of course he would. They always did when they were drunk. ***** Wulf with some different hair and eyes, and sans beard - in another life that somehow parallels the previous one. Sometimes, certain things seem hard-wired into us and we keep repeating them from one life to the next. Hair is my Red Nerissa hair expansion for Nerissa Hair by Mairy-3Dream. Outfit is Midnight Cowboy with Midnight Brotherhood mats (DAZ). Just a little fun for today :) Hope you enjoy and thanks so much for your comments and time dear friends. May you have a lovely weekend!! Rayvn/Ray PS: Plz zoom - thanks!

i most like the "suck out" part even in other worlds.the human is a very special race it sucks on everything it sets foot on. underdeveloped species to hell with them lol.

Great looking in his "other life". It is hardwired into us to repeat, it's how we learn... unfortunately we also repeat past mistakes, as individuals and societies.

I like the images in your gallery, wonderful characters, but I'm really enjoying the story telling too. Nice work. You might just have inspired me to resurrect my Aranee tale...
